SEBANE MEMBERS MEETING
THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2009

SEBANE urges you to join other SEBANE members for a special members meeting on Thursday, March 12, from 12:30 - 2 pm, at the NESEA BuildingEnergy09 conference in Boston.

A number of issues have emerged over the past few months that may affect the fortunes of SEBANE member companies. These include:

  • A recent ruling in Massachusetts that only licensed electricians are qualified to do any aspect of a PV installation
  • A directive to local electrical inspectors to no longer pass installations in Massachusetts where workers other than electricians are involved
  • Changes to roof load limits/requirements in Massachusetts under the 7th Edition of the Massachusetts Building Code that will affect PV installations
  • Status of new net metering regulations
  • Entrance of utilities into the PV installation arena
  • Funding for the PV program in Connecticut

SEBANE and its Board of Directors have been engaged in addressing these matters over the past few months. Please join with other members to share your perspectives and experiences with these issues and help to craft and implement strategies to address them.

SEBANE has secured the Federal Complex (on the mezzanine level) for our meeting from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Bring your lunch and visit with colleagues before the formal meeting begins at 12:30 pm.
