GREEN BUILDINGS OPEN HOUSE
More than 275 homes and other buildings throughout the Northeast have signed up to participate in the Green Buildings Open House. Go to www.nesea.org. Visting the sites is easy: just choose the sites you wish to visit after reading about them on this website, and show up sometime between 10:00AM and 4:00PM on Saturday, October 4! Please read the site details carefully, as some sites are only open for guided tours and some are open for a shorter block of time. Some homeowners and building managers also prefer that you call first to let them know you are coming. There is no charge to participate, unless you sign up for a guided tour that charges a fee.

PV 101
PV 101 is designed to provide an overview of PV touching on both grid-connected and stand alone systems. Batteries, inverters, financing, hardware, and maintenance will also be covered. These full-day workshops include lunch and breaks and will be held at locations close to an existing PV installation so that participants can get a close-up look at a working system as a part of the day. Handouts will be provided. This workshop could easily have been entitled, "everything you wanted to know about PV but were afraid to ask" as it covers a lot of ground from emerging solar technologies to financing options.
