BUILDING ENERGY10
BuildingEnergy is the three-day conference where architects, designers, planners, builders, policymakers, manufacturers, and installers work together to determine what's possible. Generating truly new ideas in the world of sustainability requires whole systems thinking, a cross-disciplinary approach, and rigorous standards for content and case studies.
This year's theme: Reduce, Retrofit, and Renew. Conference sessions range from emerging trends in renewable energy to deep energy retrofits of commercial and residential buildings. The Trade Show features 160 exhibitors with the next generation of sustainable technologies and products. Hear about the things you can do today to reach the goal of zero net energy - where you produce as much energy as you use. Register on line now.

CLEANTECH FORUM
Successful cleantech companies today must not only have a superior technology product, but also must prove return on investment and value to the buyer. Buyers want energy efficiency and positive ROI, and they’re not always willing to settle on long-term results — they want a short-term result too. Consumers, which include homeowners and mom-and-pop shops, are no different: They want measurable energy efficiency without a large capital outlay.
As consumer spending rises and the economy improves, what will drive adoption? If cleantech products can’t compete on cost, how do you create marketplace momentum? And longer-term, how do you effect change across the value chain so that consumers and buyers do, eventually, pay less and get more?

DISTRIBUTED GENERATION NORTHEAST
The Fourth Annual Distributed Generation Conference hosted by Renewable Energy Vermont will continue its focus on the role that local distributed generation projects will play in meeting the clean energy mandate. In addition, millions of dollars in smart grid investments will occur over the next decade.
Vermont has a unique opportunity to lead the nation in Smart Grid implementation. Vermont provides an excellent example for the region with its recently put in place feed-in tariff which has created an exciting opportunity for land owners, developers and installers to move forward on a variety of distributed generation projects from; solar photovoltaic, wind, and biomass, hydro, and landfill.
