The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund today announced its plans to continue supporting Solar Photovoltaics (PV) and issue a new request for proposals (RFP) for projects involving installation and use of PV technology in commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.

SOLAR DYNAMICS ANNOUNCES HARVESTER WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM
HARTFORD, CT - Sept 9, 2003 - Solar Dynamics announced today the availability of an integrated water purification package for its Harvester mobile solar generator. Each unit is capable of purifying 300 to 1,400 gallons of water per day at a cost of under ½ a cent per gallon, generated solely by the power of the sun. The package can deliver drinking water sufficient for the basic daily needs of 150 to 700 people, whether in response to emergency situations, humanitarian relief efforts, peacekeeping endeavors or micro-enterprise development.

STRONG RESPONSE TO NABCEP CERTIFICATION EXAM
NABCEP Receives Impressive Number of Applications for First Certification Exam
August 11, 2003 - The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) announced that it has received overwhelming support for its national certification exam. The exam is intended for those who install solar panels – or photovoltaics (PV) on residential and commercial buildings. In response to the initial call for applicants, NABCEP has received nearly 100 applications from individuals in 30 states across the country. The first exam is to be administered on October 25th at a number of testing nationwide.
